Full Time, Exempt Position
Position Purpose: To supervise Television Station's entire maintenance operation, including manpower and resources.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise the daily electronic maintenance activities including parts/supply procurement, task assignments, quality and quantity of work, methods and efficiency of department.
Design or supervise the design and installation of all broadcast television equipment and systems.
Demonstrate operational and maintenance methods and generally assist with training activities of the department.
Assist with developing annual capital plan and initiatives related to cost control.
Assist technicians in solving work problems, initiate or suggest plans to motivate technicians to achieve work goals and confer with other supervisors as technical liaison with all other departments.
Ensure, recommend and implement regulatory compliance with FCC, FAA, EPA and OSHA rules including RF equipment, towers, earth stations, remote control systems, STL, ICR, 2 way communications systems ENG repeater systems and tower lessee compliance. Tank registration, chemical inventory and MSDS, lockout tagout compliance are all part of these duties.\
Will work very closely with Director of BO&E, to solve specific daily problems that require immediate attention.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum of five years experience in Broadcast Engineering preferred.
Qualified candidate must have effective oral and written communication abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
Must be able to multi-task proficiently and effectively.
