11-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Attacked In Arnold
ARNOLD (KDKA) ―
A community is on alert after an 11-year-old girl says she was grabbed on the way to school.
Police say the girl was walking just before 8 a.m. Monday on her way to H.D. Berkey Elementary School in Arnold when she was attacked.
The man allegedly grabbed her by the neck and threatened to kill her if she screamed.
The girl says she fought him off as he threw her on the ground and tried to remove her clothes.
The man took off when a car turned onto the street.
"I just can't believe someone would do that to a little kid," Dawn Welsh, a crossing guard, said. "I mean it's bad enough that things like that happen to adults but a little kid."
Police are looking for a white male described as tall and slender with a thin mustache.
He's believed to be older than 45 years old and was wearing a black Pirates hat with a black hoodie.
