Couple Found Dead After Apparent Murder Suicide

MT. PLEASANT TWP. (KDKA) ― A man and a woman were found dead in a home in Westmoreland County after what appears to be a murder-suicide, according to investigators.

Police say as many as three shots were fired inside the Kors Studio Street house in United Village, Mt. Pleasant Township.

Someone at the residence called 911 this afternoon, but hung up.

State police came to investigate and found 53-year-old Lynn Deruelle and 59-year-old Florence Rabusseau-Deruelle.

Lynn was an ex-Marine and Vietnam veteran suffering from terminal cancer and Florence was a nurse helping him to cope in his final days.

Friends and family describe the couple as nice people, but they were suffering with Lynn's terminal cancer.
