Florida Man Who Met Local Teen Online In Jail

NORTH HUNTINGDON (KDKA) ― North Huntingdon Police say an alert father helped them nab a man who travelled from Florida to have sex with a 15-year-old girl in Westmoreland County.

Nicholas Ewen-Napier, 19, of St. Petersburg, is being held in the Westmoreland County Jail on $75,000.

Police say Ewen-Napier met the teenager on an Internet dating website. The two started a relationship and he then flew to the North Huntingdon area to meet her.

Early Friday morning, the girl's father saw the teen walking into the woods behind the family's home and followed her.

Once in the woods, he found a sleeping bag, backpack and computer and brought them back to his house.

The father called police after the teen admitted that the suspect had sent her nude pictures.

Not realizing what had happened, the suspect called police himself when he saw that his belongings were missing.

Though police say Ewen-Napier initially claimed that he was in the area for his father's funeral, he later admitted that he was visiting his girlfriend and that he sent her nude photographs.
