It happened at a home on West Hempfield Drive in Hempfield Township right next to West Hempfield Elementary School.

A Westmoreland County woman was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital after she was shocked by a live wire outside of her home.
It happened at a home on West Hempfield Drive in Hempfield Township right next to West Hempfield Elementary School.
The Adamsburg fire chief says a high-voltage live wire running from a pole to a house fell in the yard and caught a tree on fire.
A woman in her 30's living in the house came out to investigate. She was shocked by the wire.
The fire chief says she was flown to Mercy Hospital with serious injuries.
She was at home with her mother-in-law and two children at the time.
The mother-in-law was taken to Excela Health Westmoreland with unknown injuries.
The fire chief wasn't sure what caused the wire to fall. He says neighbors are very shaken by the incident.
Allegheny power officials, the
Adamsburg fire department and state police troopers and detectives are on the scene investigating.
