Half Naked Man Charged In Md. For Speeding

RISING SUN, Md. (AP) ― The Cecil County Sheriff's Office says a deputy pulled a Delaware man over for speeding and discovered he he had been drinking and wasn't wearing any pants.

Spokesman Lt. Bernard Chiominto said 41-year-old Jonathan Schultz of Newark was stopped Saturday near Rising Sun for going 69 mph in a 50 mph zone.

During the traffic stop, the sheriff's office says the deputy could smell alcohol and noticed Schultz was driving without pants or underwear. Chiominto says Schultz told the deputy his pants were uncomfortable so he took them off.

Schultz is charged with driving while impaired, driving without a license or insurance and operating an unregistered vehicle.

Police impounded his truck and he was released without bond.
