Schenley Park Rink Plans Valentines On Ice Event

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― This romantic season, CitiParks is planning a fun-filled evening of ice skating and other events for local couples on Valentine's Day.

The "Valentine's On Ice" event runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Feb. 14, 2009 at the Schenley Park Skating Rink on Overlook Drive.

Alex Shamravesky, the CitiParks special events manager, says they will have both ice skating and indoor events like dance lessons for those people who want to come in from the cold.

There is a special two for one admission price: $4 for adults. Also, skate rentals will run at $2.50 a piece.

Shamravesky says the first 200 couples through the door will get a free rose.
