McCain Forced To Miss Pittsburgh Campaign Stop
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
Republican presidential candidate John McCain, whose campaign has been struggling in recent weeks, was supposed to make an appearance in Pittsburgh this morning.
However, a delayed flight caused him to miss the event.
Senator McCain, of Arizona, did the next best thing though -- he spoke to his supporters by phone.
The last time McCain was supposed to come to town, the vote on immigration reform kept him in Washington.
This time it was a flight that was supposed to get him here in time for a breakfast meeting at the Marriott City Center but might have arrived closer to lunchtime.
Even so, with all of the problems reported about McCain's campaign he told his supporters he's moving forward.
"I am confident that we will continue to compete and we will win," said McCain. "I can out campaign any of these other candidates. The town hall meetings are our strength and that's what we're gonna do ."
