The second time was the charm for crews trying to bring down a 14-story high rise in the East Hills this afternoon.
The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh imploded the 157-unit East Hills High Rise at around 2:30 p.m. but not all of it fell.
Crew imploded that remaining section around 5:15 p.m.
The East Hills High Rise was built in 1972 but the building has been vacant since 2003 when residents were moved to the newly opened Silver Lake Commons.
