US Airways Pilots Take Contract Dispute Public
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
US Airways pilots are set to take their recent contract dispute with the airline to the public this morning.
Protestors say they are gathering at 9:30am at the US Airways terminal near a ticketing level.
The pilots say they are protesting what they call a "Bottom Contract," as well as a lack of progress with pay benefits and quality of life issues. The pilots belong to the Airline Pilots Association.
There has been no comment yet from the airline.
But the pilots say a new contract would be a significant step to merging US Airways and America West and would also improve operations.
Stay with KDKA for the latest details on this story later today.
