Twins' Football Coach Devastated Over Tragedy

(KDKA) Today, family and friends are trying to come to grips with the double stabbing tragedy in Penn Hills that claimed the life of an 11-year-old boy and left his twin brother seriously injured.

Right now, Tyrel Hill remains hospitalized in critically condition from his injuries, and his brother Tyron was pronounced dead at the scene on Tuesday afternoon.

Police have now arrested the twins' older brother, Troy Hill, in connection with that stabbing.

Tonight, the man who coached all three boys in football says he is shaken by the terrible tragedy.

Terry Wirginis, director of the Guyasuta Football Association, says he has known the Hill family for 8 years, and the twins played quarterback and running back interchangeably on his football team.

"I just pray for them, and we all pray for them and the family, and for their ability to somehow get through this," says Wirginis.

He says it was just last Saturday when #33 Tyron blew past everybody for a Warriors touchdown.

"Our coaches who've coached these kids for years, since they were 6-years-old, they're in anguish," Wirginis adds.

'They were exceptional athletes, and they were more exceptional people - the entire family," he told KDKA.

He said that Troy was also an outstanding player for the Warriors, and loved to watch his little brothers on the field.

"The family's very private as well, but we were aware that he was having some depression issues, and you just never know what's going to happen," he said.

Right now, all those who are close to the Hill family are focusing on supporting them in any way possible.
