Police Search For Heating Oil Culprits

TAYLOR TWP. (KDKA) ― The search continues today for the person or people who took the heating oil right out of the tank of a Lawrence County church.

It happened at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in West Pittsburg.

Police say the church had their heating oil tank filled at the beginning of the month. But sometime between March 1 and 2 the oil was pumped out of the tank.

"I think it's pretty bad, they have to get the guy and lock him up," says parishioner, Tony Galmarini. "They've got to find whoever stole that fuel oil."

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen any type of truck in that area to contact State Police at 724-598-2211.
