State Senate Rejects Smoking Ban
HARRISBURG (AP) ―
The state Senate has overwhelmingly rejected a smoking ban passed tonight by the state House of Representatives.
The bill passsed by the House grants fewer exceptions than one passed by the state Senate last month.
Exceptions in the bill passed by the Senate include a quarter of casino gambling floors, bars where food is one-fifth or less of gross sales.
The Senate also granted exceptions for addiction treatment centers and nursing homes and other adult-care centers.
