New Evidence Surfaces In Deadly Hit & Run

INDIANA, PA (KDKA) ― Police are analyzing hairs and paint to try to link a van to the death of a bicyclist last summer.

Last July, Sean Pearce of Burrell Township was killed along state Route 119.

"All they had to do was stop. I mean that's not asking too much," said Heather Kunkle, Pearce's sister. "You don't leave somebody laying on the road like a dead animal."

Kunkle lost her brother in a hit and run, but police have never made an arrest.

Recent tips led police to what appears to be an abandoned mini-van not far from where Pearce was killed.

Police collected evidence from the van - including a clump of hair.

Pearce's family hopes it'll lead to an arrest.

The family is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
