PennDOT: Route 28 Southbound Now Reopened

HARMAR TWP. (KDKA) ― Officials with PennDOT say the part of Route 28 that was closed for work this weekend has now been reopened.

PennDOT's Jim Struzzi tells us the roadway was reopened this afternoon.

The closure was needed so crews could continue the long process of removing rock and debris from the road and the hillside above it.

PennDOT is also working to move the southbound lanes away from the hillside.
