Route 28 Lane Restrictions Continue Tuesday

HARMAR TWP. (KDKA) ― The right southbound lane of Route 28 is reopen again, for now; however, if you drive on that road you may want to consider taking an alternate route again tomorrow morning.

On the heels of last week's rockslide, one southbound lane near RIDC Park in Harmar Township will be closed again for much of the day tomorrow so PennDOT crews can continue to clear away debris.

The restrictions on the right southbound lane will go into effect again at 8:30am on Tuesday and last through 4:30pm.

Five cars were damaged when rocks came crashing down the hillside last Thursday night.

While crews work to clear the debris from the highway, engineers will assess the cliff above the highway.
