Area Students Reflect & Remember Va. Tech Victims

by Alison Morris
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― As new details continue to surface about the Virginia Tech shooter, students around the country and here in the Pittsburgh area are showing their support for the victims through vigils, prayer services and other remembrances.

Last night, students at CMU gathered to remember and reflect on Monday's tragedy.

"It could happen anywhere," CMU Freshman James Harrell told KDKA. "It's such a tragedy and it's something that no one was expecting. It's not something that anyone can really prepare for."

Over the last few days, students at St. Vincent College, Robert Morris University, Penn State and WVU, and others have gathered for similar expressions of support.

This morning, students at Seneca Valley High School will hold a vigil for its students on the front lawn of the school.

The Butler County students will gather before their classes to remember the lives lost.
