Missing Scott Twp. Woman Found Dead In Tenn.
SCOTT TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ―
There are more questions than answers after a missing woman from Scott Township was found dead in Tennessee.
Police say the body of 39 year-old Paula Lanz was found inside a burning van.
Neighbors were shocked to hear the news.
"I was devastated," said Lanz's neighbor Mary Mordacci. "I couldn't believe it. It was hard for me to believe because she's such a nice girl."
Just after 2 a.m Friday morning in Nashville, police identified a body found inside a burning Kia minivan as Paula Lanz.
Lanz, the mother of two, had been missing since Monday.
The Kia, which is registered to Lanz, was driven into a parking lot of a trucking company and set on fire.
Nashville Police are treating it as a homicide and following leads as are authorities in Allegheny County.
Meanwhile, Paula's estranged husband, Henry Lanz, is in the Allegheny County Jail on an unrelated charge.
Late Friday night, Henry Lanz was arraigned on an unrelated charge -- violation of a protection from abuse order.
At this time, Henry Lanz is not a suspect in the death of Paula Lanz.
