Man Accused In Wife's Death Held For Trial

Police say he hired a hit man to murder his wife

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― A man accused of hiring a hit man to kill his wife is headed to trial.

Henry Lanz, 40, is facing several charges including criminal homicide and criminal conspiracy in the death of Paula Lanz.

She was reported missing early last week. Authorities later found her body burned in a van in Tennessee.

Police in Allegheny County arrested Karl Laughlin, a second man wanted for questioning in the case. When police picked him up, he was reportedly hiding behind a car reading an article about the case.

So far, he's facing an unrelated domestic violence charge.

Meanwhile, a fund has been set up for Paula Lanz's two children.
