Local gamblers only have to wait a few more days to play the one-arm bandits in Washington County.
Officials with The Meadows Racetrack and Casino say their temporary casino will tentatively open to the public next Monday.
Invited guests will take their first crack at the new slots machines during test runs on Friday and Sunday, which will benefit local charities.
The Meadows is set to have 1,738 slot machines in the temporary structure.
If all goes well and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board gives final approval, the casino will open its doors to the public at 8:30 a.m. on June 11.
It hasn't been an easy ride lately for the casino. The original opening date was pushed back after officials said they needed to enhance the security system.
And last week, a fire started in the roof of the new facility.
