Man Heads For Trial, Charged In Wife's Death

KDKA's Stephanie Watson reports.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― He's accused of hiring a hit man to kill his wife, and now a Scott Township man's case is headed to trial.

Henry Lanz, 40, faces several charges including criminal homicide and criminal conspiracy in the death of Paula Lanz.

Allegheny County Police also arrested Karl Laughlin, a second man wanted for questioning in the case.

He was reportedly hiding behind a car and reading an article about the case when authorities found him.

Right now, he is facing a charge of domestic violence, which is unrelated to the Lanz case.

Paula Lanz was reported missing early last week.

Police later discovered her body burned in a van in Tennessee.

Meanwhile, a fund has been set up for Paula Lanz's two children.
