Information Revealed About Bechen's Alleged Killer

DUNKARD TWP. (KDKA) ― There's been an astounding revelation today about the man charged with killing a 12-year-old girl in Greene County.

The body of Gabrielle Bechen was found in a field on a local farm on Saturday.

Today, KDKA's Paul Martino learned that the farm hand that is charged with her death may have been among those searching for her.

Meanwhile, the Bechen family remains in seclusion inside their mobile home.

The family is too distraught to talk to us about her death, but off-camera a family member called suspect Jeffrey Martin a "sicko" who deserved to die and they expressed outrage in the fact that Martin took part in the search for Gabby.

Martin is a man who is no stranger to law enforcement.

State police say 48-year-old Martin has confessed to wrapping his hands around Gabby Bechen's throat and strangling her.

Jeffrey Martin is also accused of burying both Gabby's body and her ATV on a horse farm down the road from her mobile home.

More information has now emerged about Martin.

He's been accused of child molestation in the past.

So far in this case, there have been no accusations and no charges of sexual abuse, but state police are saying the motive in this killing is that Gabby was about to reveal some accusations of misconduct.

Martin faces a hearing tomorrow.
