New Castle Student Found Unconscious Dies

NEW CASTLE (KDKA) ― A New Castle High School student found unconscious in a classroom last week has died.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office reports Erica Million, 16, passed away early Sunday morning at Children's Hospital.

Police say Million took a painkiller that she allegedly purchased from another student.

The Lawrence County District Attorney's Office says if final autopsy results show the pill caused Million's death, criminal charges could be filed against the person who provided the drug.

According to the DA, if the person is a juvenile, they would be charged as an adult.
