by Ralph Iannotti
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
Allegheny County Police have released new details on 86-year old Edward Loggins of Highland Park, in the hours before Loggins was found murdered in Baldwin Borough last Thursday.
Investigators released photographs of Loggins taken by a Port Authority security camera.
He is seen getting on a bus downtown sitting alone and, then getting off the bus in Elizabeth Borough.
He spent just over an hour on the bus.
About 2-1/2 hours after Loggins got off the bus, he was found shot in the head, along railroad tracks in Baldwin Borough.
Why Loggins went to Elizabeth, and how he ended up in Baldwin is still unclear.
Loggins used a walker to get around but it has not been found.
Pittsburgh Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 leading to an arrest and conviction.
That number is
412/255-8477.
Loggins, also known as Mr. Jimmy, retired in 2002 after working in the U.S. Steel Tower for more than 40 years.
Investigators tell us that robbery may have been a motive for the crime.
