Elderly Man's Death In Baldwin Still A Mystery

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
It was last April when an elderly man was found shot to death along railroad tracks in Baldwin Borough and today police and family are continuing their search for answers in his violent death.
No arrests have yet been made in the murder of Edward Loggins, 86, a USX retiree, who was also known as 'Mr. Jimmy.'
Loggins was found dead on April 19th along tracks near Route 837.
Investigators say Loggins was a frequent Port Authority bus rider who would visit downtown Pittsburgh to see friends at the USX Building.
In May, police said surveillance video showed Loggins rode the 46G from Elizabeth to Century III Mall on the morning of his death. Police say the trip was not part of his normal routine.
As the investigation continues, Loggins' family is now planning a special ceremony to honor his life. That will take place at
10:30 a.m. on
January 13th at the
Holy Cross Episcopal Church at 7507 Kelly Street in Pittsburgh.
Family and friends have also established a fund in order to increase the $1,000 reward, which is being offered by Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers.
