Investigators Seek Leads In Elderly Man's Murder

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Police are trying to unravel the mysterious murder and robbery of an elderly man who was found shot in the head near railroad tracks in Baldwin.

Edward Loggins, 86, from Highland Park, frequently road the bus and many knew him by the name, "Mr. Jimmy."

Today, investigators handed out flyers, asking the public for information that could lead them to a suspect.

According to surveillance video, Loggins rode the 46G from Elizabeth to Century III Mall on the morning of his death. Police say the trip was not part of his normal routine.

Now, investigators are trying to figure out why he was in Elizabeth, where he was heading, and what happened to the walker he used to get around.
