Local Man Disappears After Girlfriend's Funeral
BRACKENRIDGE (KDKA) ―
Family members say a Westmoreland County man vanished after his girlfriend's funeral about a month ago.
Kelly Nicole Smith's body was found in the Allegheny River in June.
Authorities say they aren't calling 32-year-old Chad Stroup a suspect but they, along with his family, would like to know where he is and that he's OK.
"I don't know why he did what he did, you know he dropped off the face of the earth," Marcia Stroup, his mother, said. "I just want him to come home so we can get through this."
Stroup left nearly all of his belongings in the Brackenridge home he shared with Smith and her 5-year-old son. But his 2006 black Subaru Impreza is gone.
Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
