Local College Students Sing For Scholarships

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― There was an American Idol style competition in Oakland Thursday evening.

It was all part of a talent search for "Campus Superstars" at the Carnegie Music Hall.

KDKA's Ken Rice was one of the judges in the event.

The proceeds from the event benefited the Jewish University Center of Pittsburgh.

The grand prize winner was Nick Cosgrove, a freshman from CMU.

He gets a $5,000 scholarship award.
