Style Sisters: Steelers Fashion
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
A recent survey showed the Steelers have the best female fan following in the league. So, how do you stay fashionable and support your favorite team at the same time?
KDKA's Kristine Sorensen went shopping with the Style Sisters for some ideas.
We've always known female Steeler fans are die-hard. So, how do you show your pride? The Style Sisters show us how we can look hip and feminine while cheering on the black and gold.
When it comes to supporting their hometown teams, Alison, Annie, Shannon, and Elizabeth know how to do it with spirit and style.
"This is fun fashion. We're not out there trying to set the world on fire with fashion when we're dressing as fans, but you can do it tastefully," Elizabeth said.
Football jerseys are some of the most popular gear, but the Style Sisters say, just because you're cheering for those big guys on the field, it doesn't mean you have to look like a linebacker. Try belting the jersey to show off your feminine figure.
"The shirts are expensive so you don't want to get rid of it to buy something more fitted." Anne said.
Try a smaller size… much smaller.
"Check out your child's drawers," Alison said.
Jerseys are also now cut to fit women's bodies, often in softer colors.
"You can do pastel pink, yellow, blue, even pastel green," Shannon said.
They even make a Steelers jersey dress.
You can also find black and gold for all of our pro Pittsburgh teams right in your closet.
The Style Sister's love the Ugg boots because they're the perfect trifecta – warm, comfortable and fashionable. A key to any Style Sister's outfit – don't overdo it.
Try one sparkly necklace with a v-neck, or one flashy ring, or a billboard belt that you can program to say whatever you want.
The Style Sisters may not see eye to eye on everything, but there are some style rules they do all agree on.
The Style Sisters found hot Steeler jeans at New York New York in Station Square along with jewelry and hats. They wear, "I Love Pittsburgh" tees they designed themselves.
The Style Sisters don't drop the ball when it comes to Steelers fashion. They win at that game every time.
