PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― If you dread heading into your closet each morning, it's time for a makeover... a closet makeover, that is!

The Style Sisters offer some advice to get your closet organized and how to keep it that way!

Top 10 Tips To A Successful Closet Makeover:

1. Organization begins with a thorough evaluation.

2. Begin by removing everything from your closet and sorting it into piles labeled keep, give, and toss (the Style Sisters call this their "yikes" bin).

3. Get rid of anything that doesn't fit, is out of style, or you haven't worn in a year. Everything in your closet should be something you can -- and would -- wear right now, yet 80% of women wear just 20% of what's in their closets.

3. Donate anything that still has wear left and throw away anything with permanent stains, holes or other damage.

4. Re-hang everything you're keeping on wooden hangers (recycle wire ones at your local dry cleaner).

5. Use labeled bins for items like scarves, belts, bags and sweaters.

6. Store off-season items in attic, basement, or under bed containers.

7. Re-hang items grouped by occasion (i.e. casual with casual, dressy with dressy) and use (i.e. pants with pants, tops with tops).

8. There should be enough space between hanging items so you can see what's there.

9. Keep a "donate" basket in your closet so you're not tempted to keep items that you should get rid of.

10. Identify "disposable" items in your wardrobe (i.e. T-shirts, tanks & shells) and recycle them each year, purchasing inexpensive new replacements to keep your look fresh.
