The Pittsburgh Steelers welcomed back Willie Parker and Troy Polamalu and were in no danger of blowing another fourth quarter lead against the Browns.
The Steelers beat the browns for the 12th consecutive time with a 27-14 win on Sunday at Heinz Field.
After a flurry of fumbles and turnovers to start the fourth quarter, the Steelers were finally able to extend the lead to 27-14 with a 39-yard Jeff Reed field goal with just under six minutes to play.
Rashard Mendenhall powered his way to another touchdown from two yards out to put the Steelers up 24-14 over the Cleveland Browns in the third quarter.
Earlier in the third quarter, Lawrence Vickers caught a one-yard touchdown pass from Derek Anderson on the opening drive of the second half to cut the deficit to 17-14.
With time ticking down in the first half, Jeff Reed kicked a 32-yard field goal to extend the Steelers lead to 17-7 over the Cleveland Browns.
Hines Ward stole a pass intended for Santonio Holmes and took it 52 yards for a touchdown with just over four minutes to play in the first half to put the Steelers up 14-0.
On the ensuing kick-off, Josh Cribbs took Jeff Reed's kick 98 yards for a touchdown to cut the lead in half.
Earlier in the quarter, Ben Roethlisberger hooked up with Heath Miller for an eight-yard touchdown pass to take a 7-0 lead early in the second quarter.
The touchdown came one play after Roethlisberger found Holmes for 41 yards.
The Cleveland Browns couldn't capitalize on a miscue by the Steelers and the score remained 0-0 after the first quarter.
Roethlisberger fumbled a snap that was recovered by the Browns on the Pittsburgh 39 yard line late in the first quarter.
After working the ball inside the 15, Cribbs took a direct snap and fired a pass in the area of Chansi Stuckey, but Troy Polamalu jumped the route and picked it off.
This is Polamalu's first game back after suffering a knee injury in Week 1, but he got up and limped off the field after the interception.
There is no word on his condition at this time, but he did return to action.
