Steelers Ready To Take On Broncos
By: Casey Shea
DENVER (KDKA) ―
The Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2) had a bye week in Week 8 after knocking off the undefeated Minnesota Vikings at Heinz Field 27-17.
On Monday night, they take on the Denver Broncos (6-1) at Invesco Field at 8:30 p.m.
The Broncos enter tonight's game after seeing their undefeated season snapped by the Baltimore Ravens 30-7 in Week 8.
Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton was 23-of-37 passing for only 152 yards in the loss. Their lone score was on a one-yard touchdown run by Knowshon Moreno.
The Broncos lead the all-time season series 13-6-1 and hold an impressive 7-2-1 edge in Denver, including three straight wins.
The last regular season meeting between the two teams was on Oct. 21, 2007, in Denver. The Steelers lost the game 31-28 after Jason Elam drilled a 49-yard field goal as time expired.
A win by the Steelers would keep them tied with the Cincinnati Bengals for the top spot in the AFC North division and make next week's matchup at Heinz Field that much more important between the two teams.
The Bengals defeated the Ravens 17-7 on Sunday to improve their record to 6-2.
