Judge Denies Request To Dismiss Lawsuit

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) ― A judge in Nevada has denied requests by lawyers for Ben Roethlisberger to dismiss the lawsuit accusing him in the sexual assault of a casino worker in Lake Tahoe.

The judge also refused to drop a fraud claim against the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback.

The woman, 31-year-old Andrea McNulty, filed a lawsuit this summer accusing Roethlisberger of sexually assaulting her in 2008 at the Harrah's Hotel and Casino.

He was in Nevada participating in a golf tournament.

Washoe District Judge Brent Adams rejected arguments that the suit should be dismissed, saying McNulty's allegations make a "sufficient" claim that if proven, would entitle her to relief.

Roethlisberger denies any wrongdoing.
