Tomlin: Parker To Miss Monday Night's Game

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Steelers running back Willie Parker will not play in Monday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Head Coach Mike Tomlin says that Parker will not play in that game because of a knee sprain.

Parker injured his knee in last Sunday's game against Philadelphia but continued to play.

He only ran the ball for 13 times for 20 yards.

Rookie first round pick Rashard Mendenhall will start in Parker's place.

The Steelers will be without three starters on Monday: Parker, Keisel and Casey Hampton, who will miss the game with a strained groin.

Meanwhile, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is still nursing his hand after he left the game late in the fourth quarter.

The good news: x-rays showed no break to his hand.

Overall, Tomlin said the team had a dismal effort against the Eagles.

He is focusing now on the Baltimore Ravens and shoring up the offensive line.

Stay with KDKA for more on the Steelers.
