Tomlin Outlines Injuries During News Conference

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The Steelers are off to a 2-0 start as the NFL season enters its third week.

They defeated the Browns Sunday but some key players were injured during the game.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will see limited playing time in practice this week with what Head Coach Mike Tomlin called a "sore shoulder."

Tomlin says Ben will play in Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tomlin said Sunday's game was a gritty, physical game and that is what he likes to see because it builds character.

Defensive end Brett Keisel will also not play this weekend.

Keisel could sit out up to two months with a calf injury.   For now, he is week-to-week.

He was injured late in the first quarter Sunday night and had to be helped off the field.

Keisel was spotted yesterday wearing a protective boot.

Orpheus Roye will be given more reps this week in an effort to shut down Philadelphia's high-powered offense.

Deshea Townsend is also listed as day-to-day and is probably not going to play this week.

The Steelers face-off against the Eagles Sunday at 4:15 p.m. on KDKA-TV.
