Tomlin: Flacco Is Seasoned QB, Polamalu To Play
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
The Steelers are getting ready to take on their bitter rivals for the third time this weekend in the AFC Championship Game at Heinz Field.
Today, Steelers' Head Coach Mike Tomlin held his weekly news conference.
The big news was that Troy Polamalu is going to be ready to play despite suffering a strained calf during the pregame on Sunday.
Tomlin talked about the Ravens and their quarterback Joe Flacco.
He said not to call Flacco a rookie quarterback because he is now a seasoned player.
Tomlin says the Steelers are familiar and comfortable with the Ravens coming in.
To Tomlin, the Ravens' story is the same as it was before.
They have a great defense, a great kicking game and a big back who knows how to get the job done.
That kicking game is what got the Ravens over the Tennessee Titans last weekend.
It's now a matter of getting down and playing the football game.
Game time is Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at Heinz Field.
