Art Rooney II: Steelers Need To Run Ball More

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Steelers President Art Rooney II says the team needs to run the ball more.

His statement struck a chord with Steeler Nation.

"I agree with that but you need the people to be able to do it and you need some line help to keep them moving," Lloyd Price, of Monongahela, said.

"If we establish the line like we used to in the old days and get back to running the ball, the passing will come because they won't be able to protect against just one thing," Chris Farren, of Bethel Park, said.

But does that mean sacrificing what Ben Roethlisberger – with more than 4,000 passing yards this season – proved he's pretty good at accomplishing?

"What are you sacrificing when you're 9-7 and you're home for the playoffs? Not much," former Steelers lineman Edmund Nelson said.

"You just have to be able to posses the football, you have to be able to run the football, possess the football, you have to be able to wear a team down and I just believe in it," Nelson said. "That's not just Steelers football, it's winning football."
