Steelers Fans Not Afraid Of The Cold

NORTH SHORE (KDKA) ― Temperatures may have only reached the 30s, but that didn't stop Steelers fans from arriving early to tailgate outside Heinz Field on Pittsburgh's North Shore.

Some fans take staying warm seriously by wearing thick layers and standing near heaters but others – not so much.

Dallas Grimm, from Martinsburg, W. Va., was wearing shorts and sandals.

"It's only cold in your mind," he told KDKA.

Brian Cochran, from Jeannette, went into the game without a hat.

"No hat, I'm going in like this – look for me inside. Game on!"

It seemed like everyone tailgating had a story, like Ted McKenzie who is back from Casper, Wyoming.

"This is Steeler weather – this is what I came home for," he said. "I wanted snow, I wanted cold, I wanted beer and I wanted buddies – I got it all."
