Steelers Report To Training Camp Today

LATROBE (KDKA) ― The day that Steelers fans have been waiting for has arrived.

The Black & Gold are heading back to Training Camp today at St. Vincent College in Latrobe.

The players are arriving this afternoon for the second year of Camp Tomlin and there were a lot of preparations leading up to this big day.

Crews have been working for weeks to groom the field for practice sessions, while St. Vincent staff members have been busy preparing rooms to make the players comfortable during their stay.

For fans, the Steelers Experience has once again been set up. It features interactive games and fun and it opens before afternoon practice sessions.

Officials also say new Steelers merchandise, including t-shirts, tanks tops and hats, have also been brought in so fans can stay up on the latest in Steelers attire. Other memorabilia that fans can find at the camp include a trivia game and a football almanac.

While there are no open practices today, fans are expected to pour in for the first public practice on Monday at 2:55 p.m.

Also, the Steelers first round draft pick, Rashard Mendenhall was expected to speak at a news conference today on campus at Benedict Hall.
