The Pittsburgh Steelers have released three players from last year's team, all of them veterans with at least nine years experience in the NFL.
TE Jerame Tuman, LB Clint Kriewaldt and CB Allen Rossum have been let go.
Special Teams captain Kriewaldt spent the last five seasons with the Steelers. He suffered a season-ending neck injury late in the season.
Tuman had a back injury that limited him to just one catch for nine yards last year while Rossum was, for the most part, ineffective as a kick returner. He scored one touchdown and ranked 24th in the NFL in yards per return.
