It looks like an injury on the first day of training camp is going to affect the Steelers all season long.
Starting Punter Daniel Sepulveda is out for the season after tearing his ACL.
Sepulveda's injury apparently happened yesterday at practice at St. Vincent College.
Though Sepulveda was on the field today, an MRI revealed that he has a torn ACL in his right leg -- not his kicking leg.
It's the same ACL he injured in 2006 after a pickup basketball game.
"The plant leg is the right leg, the same knee that he injured in college. After punting yesterday, he experienced some discomfort to say the least ... got it looked at today - that was the end result," Head Coach Mike Tomlin said.
Sepulveda was drafted last year in the 4th round from Baylor University.
The Steelers claimed Paul Ernster off waivers from Detroit.
"The reality is there's 32 teams in this league and 32 teams deal with issues like this. This is the National Football League, this is what it's about.
"The teams that are successful, the teams that rise in the end are the teams that are capable of dealing with distractions and things such as this," Tomlin said.
