Steelers Expect Browns' 'Best Shot'

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The Steelers had to pull themselves away from their Christmas celebrations to get in a little practice, but only for a short while.

Mike Tomlin played the part of the Grinch, holding practice on the South Side as the Steelers get ready for their regular season finale Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

And once again, the team was all business preparing for a pretty meaningless game.

Tomlin said he expects Ben Roethlisberger to play despite a sprained ankle, though Ben said he still doesn't know how much playing time he'll get.

"I have no idea what's going to happen," Roethlisberger said. "That's up to coach. We know we're prepared. I took all the snaps today, so, preparing to play."

As for facing the Browns, who come into this game with a 4-11 record, losers of five straight, the Steelers know they'll be facing a team with nothing to lose.

"You never know what you're going to get form the other team," notes Roethlisberger. "Are they going to come out and want to, you know, really play hard and knock you around or are they going to kind of lay it down?

"It's the Cleveland Browns so we don't expect them to lay down. We expect to get their best shot and, you know, we need to come out and play good football," he added.

"Tough game," says Brett Keisel. "I think, you know, they have nothing to lose. I'm sure they'll go for a lot of fourth downs and some trick plays and things like that. And you know I'm sure they'll try and get the ball into Cribbs' hands a little bit, let him do his thing. It should be a good game. "
