Fans Anticipating Steelers-Chargers Match-Up

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― It's official… the match up is now set.

The Steelers will take on the San Diego Chargers Sunday at Heinz Field in the NFL Divisional Playoffs.

Not surprisingly, the Steeler Nation is getting into the playoff spirit.

They are just a little bit excited to say the least.

The Steelers and the Chargers have a rather interesting, if not bizarre history, including one of the fastest touchdowns ever scored in the 80s.

The Steelers managed to do that against Dan Fouts.

Earlier this year, the two teams met in what was labeled by some as the "Bookie Bowl" after the refs blew a call and messed up the betting line in Las Vegas.

The Steelers won by the odd score of 11 to 10.

So are fans concerned this time around?

"Not really," said fan Carol Smart. "I think the Steelers will do fine. They usually do."

"It will be a close game. We played them once already this season," said fan Nick Skokowiski. "We know how that ended 10-11. That is an unusual score. We are going to have to pull this one out. I don't think it will be a big win though."

What about the cold weather factor affecting San Diego?

"It is a myth. I don't think it makes any difference in the players. The adrenaline is pumping. I don't think the weather is a factor at all," said fan John Pisano.

So, who will win?

"I think this coach we have right now, Tomlin, is going to get this team ready and we are going to win," said Pisano.

Meanwhile, merchants are setting up shop for Steelers' fans in the Strip District in anticipation of a big week up to game time.
