Finally speaking out about rumors that he's in talks to buy the Steelers, billionaire investor Stanley Druckenmiller says he is indeed interested in the team and is committed to keeping the football franchise in Pittsburgh.
Druckenmiller confirmed that he is involved in discussions about the team's ownership structure late yesterday.
The chairman of Pittsburgh's Duquesne Capital Management released a statement saying: "I am interested in participating in a transaction that builds on the legacy of this great franchise and one that makes economic sense to everyone involved."
Druckenmiller went on to assure fans of his commitment to keep the Steelers here, saying: "any resolution involving me will guarantee the team remains in Pittsburgh."
