Holmes Would Like Fewer Off-Season Practices

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Today was the last day of the Steelers' optional practices.

They've been practicing on the South Side off and on for the last few weeks, but one Steeler thinks perhaps they've been working too hard.

WR Santonio Holmes told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette he would like to see the coaches cut back on the amount of off-season practices to preserve the players' bodies for the season.

They'll most likely put the pads on for the first time July 28th in Latrobe. The best news as the Steelers scatter for the next month is their health. Head coach Mike Tomlin says he expects the full roster on the field from the start of training camp. That includes Willie Parker and Aaron Smith who are coming back from last year's season-ending injuries.
