Art Rooney, Jr.: Nothing Has Been Decided

Report:   Deal To Sell Steelers Days Away?

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Despite reports that a deal to sell his family franchise could be just days away, Art Rooney, Jr., the brother of Steelers Chairman Dan Rooney, says nothing has been decided yet.

Responding to rumors that a deal with billionaire Stanley Druckenmiller could happen as early as Friday, Art Rooney, Jr. told KDKA today that was "news to me!"

Rooney also said he hasn't decided anything yet and he's being unfairly tainted as a swing vote when it comes to giving up control of the Steelers to Druckenmiller.

Acknowledging that the ownership shakeup may not work out in his brother Dan's favor, Rooney Jr. told KDKA: "I bleed black and gold and this is a terrible situation."

Nonetheless, he realizes potential problems for the third and fourth generations need to be addressed.

Stay with KDKA for all the latest developments in the Steelers Ownership Shakeup
