It was a special day for the "City of Champions" as the Stanley Cup and Vince Lombardi Trophy were on display for the public.
Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and Allegheny County Executive invited all Pittsburgh sports fanatics to come see the trophies together this morning.
The Steelers brought home their record sixth Super Bowl title back in February, while the Pens won their third Stanley Cup championship in June.
The Stanley Cup and Lombardi Trophy were on display in the portico of the City-County Building downtown today through noon.
And long lines of fans, decked out in black and gold, formed a long line to see the trophies.
"It's amazing; we're so lucky and blessed as a city," said Denyse Mathews, a Pittsburgh sports fan.
"I was nervous," said Ky Plocinik, of seeing the Stanley Cup. "I was nervous to see an inanimate object. It can't move, it can't talk, but I was so excited and nervous. It's a great feeling."
Fans also brought their cameras for the once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity.
