PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― With this morning's passing of legendary Steelers broadcaster Myron Cope, friends and colleagues are now taking time to pay tribute to the unique-voice of Pittsburgh's football team.

Steelers broadcaster Bill Hillgrove said of Cope:
"It was an incredible life, an incredible career. He was just a unique guy."

Steelers great Joe Greene said of Cope's passing:
"Myron definitely is Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh sports. When you first hear him on radio and see him on TV you wonder, how did he ever get there, but it didn't take you long to realize that he was special. He gave you his honest truth. He loved, loved Pittsburgh sports, he loved the players and with Myron you always felt like you got the truth."

"When you saw Myron out on the streets of Pittsburgh what you were going to get was the same guy that you would hear on the radio. He had a big heart."
