Thousands Line Up For Jerome Bettis Show
by David Highfield
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
The City of Pittsburgh has supported Jerome Bettis ever since he was traded from the Rams.
Now, as his career winds down toward Super Bowl XL, the city has never loved him more.
In what may have been the final local shooting of The Jerome Bettis Show, fans started lining up to see The Bus at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
"We are going to make them think the Steelers are crushers," said Rochelle Balauch, of Perryopolis. "The Seahawks are going to be the last ingredient on our way to 40."
Bettis acknowledged the fans and his appreciation for their support through the good and bad.
"This is a show we've been trying to have for a long time," Bettis said. "But we didn't get to the Super Bowl."
Now, Bettis and the Steelers are headed to the Super Bowl in Detroit.
The final Jerome Bettis Show of the season will be taped next week in Detroit.
