Steelers-Vikings Tickets In High Demand
PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) ―
With the undefeated Minnesota Vikings coming to town to take on the Steelers, tickets into Heinz Field are in high demand.
But that high demand means higher prices.
On Friday, the bid for a pair of front row seats jumped to $980 in the last seconds of an auction on Ebay.
In the last 24 hours, the price for a ticket in the end-zone bleachers has also jumped to as much as $300.
The cheapest nosebleed seats are going for $200.
Meanwhile, in preparation for the game, the team replaced some of the grass down on the field.
Earlier this week, workers were tearing up the areas between the hash marks and putting down new turf.
The Steelers returned to playing on an all-grass field this season because it allows them to re-sod any area that becomes worn.
